🔸 Rule #1 Dont be a dick
🔸 Rule #2 Dont be an asshole
â—½ R U L E S
🔸 PVE ("Player vs Environment"). No harming or killing other players or damaging their bases or structures, in any way.
This includes being near their base on horde night, or luring zombies to them
🔸 Type claim in chat before you build. Otherwise your base will get wiped. Building in POIs is ok (check "claim" of course), but some Trader quests can cause POIs to be reset, the ! quest marker should be gone if you claim, but a bug may see it stay, claim at your own risk
🔸 Don't build within 200 Blocks of a Trader
🔸 Bases: No floating bases, or unrealistic structures (trees on trees, etc). Obey the laws of physics. Exceptions can be made (ask an admin), but gravity is a law that doesn't bend much.
🔸 No vulgar or offensive structures
🔸 Treat others with respect
Be kind to others. No toxic or profane language aimed to hurt others. Get along as much as possible
🔸 No Trespassing into other players' Bases or Structures without their permission, or taking their vehicles
The rule of thumb is, if its not yours, don't touch it. Not without permission, anyway. If you are asked to leave someone's area, you should only have to be asked once
🔸 Treat public areas with care
No vandalising public areas (e.g. destroying POIs). Take care of the map as much as possible.
Don't destroy a POI just so you can build a base on flat ground. Don't place landmines in public places (the admin can track and know it was you...)
🔸 No cheating, obviously. This includes using exploits and duplication bugs. Destroy any duplicated items

7 Days To Die Servers. Automated Restarts are 5am/5pm NZTime
Loki's Servers automatically grant a 5-minute ban to players with high Ping. If you receive a ban like this, don't fret -- try again in 5 minutes, consider the possibility of poor internet connection at your real-life location (others may be using your internet bandwidth perhaps?), or request to be Whitelisted with the server by contacting the Staff via Discord. Please note that if you are playing on Loki's Servers (located in New Zealand) from distant countries, you may not be granted a spot on the whitelist and instead asked to play on servers closer to you (as high ping connections slow the server down).
The map size is 8,000 x 8,000 Blocks (8kms x 8kms)
Each player can have up to 5 Active Land Claim Blocks at a time. Placing more makes the oldest one(s) inactive for each new LCB you place. LCBs protect 20 blocks in all directions around it (41x41 total, including the LCB itself), and infinitely up-and-down.

Type these commands into the in-game chat (no slashes or fancy characters).
🔻 General Server Commands:
day - Broadcasts how many days until the next Blood Moon / Horde Night.
claim - Check if your location is in a "wipe zone" before you build.
discord - Broadcasts the link to Loki's 7DTD Discord Server.
delete me - Kicks you and resets your player back to level 1 (no undo). Also dead is dead
🔻 Location Commands:
?i or where am i - Broadcasts your location to the chat, so other players can locate you.
?h or who lives here - PMs you a list of LCB owners near you.
?@ or whos there - PMs you a list of players near you.
@ 2 10 or who was here 2 10 - PMs you a list of players that were where you are, within the last 2 days, and within 10 blocks. Adjust the first number for more or less days, and the second number for more or less blocks within where you are currently standing. (This is useful for finding out who has been in your base recently.)
🔻 Find Vehicle Commands:
Find vehicles within 200 blocks of your location (useful for finding yours if it is lost, but close by):
(If you can't find your vehicle(s) using these commands, consult your map, retrace your last steps until the vehicle's icon reappears on your map, or ask server staff for help locating your vehicle.)
mine - will show the coordinates of your vehicles/drones
🔻 Unstick Vehicle:
Teleport your vehicle to you if it is stuck or in the ground/fence/orbit, so long as you are within 10 blocks (horizontally) of it, even if it is vertically very far away
uber
🔻 Whose Vehicle is this?:
Tells you who owns the vehicle that's been parked outside the trader for a month..

For help with missing vehicles or items, players breaking the rules, bugs or anything you feel you need help with, always contact server staff as soon as possible. Staff Members can be contacted through Discord, or you can ask in-game if any Staff Members are online.
🔹 Lost Backpacks
Backpacks do not stay in the world forever. Eventually they will despawn or could be looted by other players if found. The best way to find your backpack is to go back to your point of death as soon as possible (other players will often be happy to help transport you to the location if you ask nicely) and to follow the Map Icon / Compass Icon to find where your bag landed.
If you are still unable to find your bag (and the icon DOES still appear on your map / compass), try the ?bag command. If that doesn't tell you where it is, then the bag is lost. Contact Staff for further help. Be aware though that sometimes bags do glitch out and are lost forever, and in those cases we will not be able to recover your items.
🔹 Land Claim Blocks / Issues with Claimed Areas
Land Claim Blocks (LCBs) are the only way to physically protect your structures against other players' interference, however there are limits to what protection they can offer. Be aware of how LCBs work so you can secure your items accordingly.
LCBs have a claim area of 20 blocks in all directions around it (41x41 total, including the LCB itself), and infinitely up-and-down. They also have a deadzone outside of the claim area, which extends 10 blocks, that prevents other players from placing their own LCB down unless they are an ally (though players can still place blocks outside your claim area but within your deadzone -- it just won't be protected by an LCB of theirs).
Each player can have up to 5 Active Land Claim Blocks at a time. Placing more makes the oldest one(s) inactive for each new LCB you place.
LCBs prevent players who are NOT allied to you from:
- Breaking blocks (including doors and hatches) within your claim area.
- Building (placing any block of any kind) within your claim area.
- Breaking open your containers (chests, storage boxes, etc).
- Picking up obtainable blocks (e.g. wood frames, hay bales, etc) within your claim area.
- Harvesting crops within your claim area.
LCBs DO NOT protect against players:
- Using your Campfires, Forges, Workbenches, Cement Mixers, Table Saws, Chemistry Stations, or taking items from them.
- Accessing / taking items from your UNLOCKED chests and containers.
- Accessing / taking items from your LOCKED chests and containers IF THEY KNOW THE PIN.
- Taking items from furniture items such as Water Coolers, Coolers, Bookshelves, Beverage Coolers, Mailboxes, Fridges, etc.
- Damaging your vehicles (even if they are within the claim area!). Make sure you pick up your vehicles before logging off to prevent them getting damaged. Vehicles may sometimes also become glitched due to a current bug, and could be lost -- so pick them up when not in use to be safe.
Players who are ALLIED to you can still do the following even if you have an LCB placed:
- Break blocks (including doors and hatches) within your claim area, or damage them with gunfire / explosions.
- Build within your claim area.
- Break open your containers (chests, storage boxes, etc) even if it is pin-locked.
- Harvest crops within your claim area.
- Can place their own LCB just outside of your claim area but within the deadzone around it.
Best Practice for protecting your stuff:
- Only ally with players you trust will not damage your structures or steal your items.
- You can temporarily ally with a player so they can -only temporarily- interact with your structures, then un-ally them.
- Make sure your structures and containers (chests, etc) are protected by an LCB at all times, LOCKED, and PIN-CODED.
- Vehicles cannot be protected by an LCB but can be LOCKED and PIN-CODED to prevent others using them. If you tell someone the pin-code, they will be able to use it -- and you can change the pin-code later if you wish.
- Vehicles can still be damaged while you are offline, even if within a claim area -- pick them up before you log off, and keep them in your inventory or within a secure container. Vehicles can also sometimes glitch as part of a current bug, and its always safer to have them stored when not in use, or you could lose them.
- Keep your utilities (Campfire, Forge, Workbench, etc) and lootable furniture if they have items in them (Cooler, Bookshelf, etc) in a secure room and behind a locked door so that players will not be able to take items from them.
- Only place structures, containers or crops outside of your claim zone(s) if you are OKAY with players being able to have free access to them.
🔹 Trouble with Vehicles
Vehicles have been buggy ever since they were first introduced several alphas ago. While they have improved, there are still some issues with them that could cause you grief. Luckily, there are easy ways to help prevent any problems.
Terrain not loading:
Sometimes when riding a vehicle into the distance, the new terrain will not load properly and you will hit an invisible wall. Get out of the vehicle to force the terrain to load, after which point you can get back in.
Random teleportations:
Vehicles can sometimes disappear / fall through the map / get sent into the stratosphere (up high in the sky) for no discernable reason. However if you use the uber command while standing at / within 10 blocks of the map icon for your vehicle, you can bring it back to you.
🔹 Complete disappearance / disappearance after being disconnected while riding:
Vehicles can rarely disappear completely, with no icon on the map. This may happen when you are disconnected from the server while riding your vehicle.
If you retrace your last steps and go back maybe 200 blocks the vehicle icon may reappear on your map once you get close enough (within 200 blocks ish) and you can reacquire it.
Other times the vehicle travels forward on the path you were heading. If you are having too much trouble finding the vehicle, ask Server Staff for help locating it using coordinates.
HOWEVER - If your vehicle was parked, locked inside your base and goes missing, and the "@" command shows a player was near it. Let staff know, and if the player destroyed it, we will warn/ban them.
Staff will NOT replace the vehicle nor contents. It is up to you to store your vehicles securly (under a roof, or in a box/inventory)
🔹 Unpredictable Vehicle behavior:
Vehicles can be unpredictable when the server is experiencing lag or other issues. This could lead to vehicles being erased entirely, with no way to get them back -- for this reason you should always pick up and store your vehicles (if even just in your inventory) while not in use. It can't be buggy and unpredictable when its not placed in the world (we hope...).
Please note there are (as usual) more bugs involving vehicles. Check the Known Issues / Bugs post below for other bugs currently affecting vehicles.
🔹 Request In-Game Assistance from other Players
Need help getting your bag back? Killing a horde? Clearing a POI of zombies? Finishing a Quest? Finding that particular item? Many players will often be happy to help if you simply ask nicely.
Generally, we follow the rule of thumb of "being helpful, but not too helpful that your experience suffers for it". Don't ask for every last thing you'll ever need in order to progress. Don't ask for high-level or end-game items if you've just started. Don't ask other players to explain everything about the game to you (google is your friend, so is Youtube -- please do your own initial research or practice in singleplayer if you are 100% new to the game).
